What due diligence and credit risk assessments are conducted?
Before a business can raise finance on the Crowd2Fund platform, it must complete our due diligence, credit risk and approval process. This includes reviewing the business, its directors, financial information, trading history, affordability, market position and other relevant factors in accordance with our internal underwriting criteria.
Where appropriate, loans may be supported by security, a director’s personal guarantee, or other protections. If a loan is secured or supported by a director guarantee, this will be clearly stated on the relevant investment opportunity page.
While these checks are designed to help assess the suitability of a business for funding, they do not eliminate investment risk. Due diligence, credit assessments, security and director guarantees do not guarantee repayment or protect investors from loss. Investments made through peer-to-peer lending are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), and investors may lose some or all of their invested capital. We encourage all investors to carefully review the information provided for each investment opportunity and ensure they understand the risks before investing.
